My Story
Hello!
My name is Andrew Swanson. I am a recent graduate of Think Tank Training Centre where I specialized in 3D Animation and Modeling. Think Tank’s rigorous curriculum provided more than just appropriate technical skills. I discovered an inner sense for movement, spacing, and timing. I find myself observing people to adapt their mannerisms into character work. My perceptiveness for creative and artistic qualities enhances my mastery of the technical requirements of the design programs, and I am pursuing a career in visual effects as a 3D animator and hard surface modeler.
When I was a child I lived in Costa Rica on a secluded mountain with my family. We had no electricity, and we would spend the evenings reading by kerosene lantern. My days were full of adventures using my imagination to create whole universes with my surroundings. This helped spur my creativity and inspire me to pursue a career bringing visual stunning concepts and ideas to life.
Creating 3D Animation has been a goal that I have worked toward for several years. In addition to the technical training gained at Think Tank Training Centre, I have over four years of practical experience in the industry with increasing levels of responsibility and expertise. As a Visual Production Specialist, Digital Specialist, Digital Artist, and Graphic Designer, I worked on teams that required communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail. This professional work experience adds to my versatility. This is an amazing and dynamic business, and I am eager to demonstrate my professional skills and talents.
Random things to know about me: I am a U.S. citizen. I'm bilingual in English (native) and Spanish. I love the outdoors, going camping, mountain biking, swimming, and surfing. I'm a big dog person (chocolate labs especially) and enjoy playing guitar and video games with my friends in my leisure time.
